ART AND ITS VARIATIONS
Art, when we think about it we think of it as something beautiful and expressing. Art is a range of human Activities for expressing ideas, visuals, and imagination of Human being. The art is believed to have existed as long as the Humankind. Art can be in any form Painting, Sculpture, Music anything. Art is intermediate between the artist and the mass, every art tells its own story.
Our Indian Culture consists of the infinite variety of Expressive Art. Indian art has had Cultural and religious influences, such as Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, and Jainism. In historic art, most of the art was the sculpture in stone and metal, of Hindu Gods.
Rock Art includes engravings, rock carvings, and paintings. It is estimated that there are about the 1400 rock art sites with over half a million figures. The BHIMBETKA ROCK SHELTERS have been deemed World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Buddhist art tells us about the enriched and wide symbol of religious images, Sculpture, visuals and symbols.Some of the famous Buddhist art sculptures are Sanchi, Bharhut and Amaravati some of which remain in situ. Buddhism gave importance to statues of budha, which widely influenced Jain and Hindu art.
