We would be deeply honoured if you would accept our personal request and be present at Dr Bharat Thakur’s Solo art exhibition being held at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 6: 30 pm. The art show will be inaugurated by Hon Minister Mahesh Sharma ji.
For your information, Dr Bharat Thakur, is globally known for his practice of a free-flowing form of yoga called Artistic Yoga. He has studios in India, Europe, Central Asia and the Gulf. Dr Thakur is now revealing another unknown facet of his versatile personality — that of a painter and sculptor. His abstract works are spiritual in nature and are intuitive, effervescent abstractions expressed through his strokes, splatters and splash of colours on canvas. In sharp contrast are his figurative portraits of aghori babas with whom he has a umbilical association since the years he spent in the Himalayas, in which he captures the myriad moments that are only visible to the unknown and invisible eyes that prevail only in their exclusive orbit. These works are apparitions that makes us aware of the presence of the absence. He has held exhibitions in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Dubai and this is for the first time holding an exhibition of his works in Delhi.
